Nature Walks with Ed Kanze 2024 - NPT/Wakely Pond

·       To celebrate the centennial of the Northville-Placid Trail, ADKX is collaborating with naturalist and Adirondack Guide, Ed Kanze, to lead a series of nature walks along the central portions of this historic trail. On this easy ramble, we will talk about the history of the trail, stroll on dirt roads, look for flora and fauna, and visit beautiful Wakely Pond

DiDirections: From Blue Mountain Lake, drive South on Rt. 30 to the outskirts of the village of Indian Lake. Just before a cemetery on the right, turn right on the Cedar River Road. Drive about twelve miles down this somewhat rough road to the parking lot at Wakely Dam.
