·         To celebrate the Centennial of the Northville-Placid Trail, ADKX is collaborating with Naturalist and Adirondack Guide, Ed Kanze, to lead a series of nature walks along the central portions of this historic trail. This section of the trail will bring us up and over a ridge and into a wild valley on the far side. Our destination and turn-around will be a stream and marsh draining from the O'Neil Flow, just to the East.

Directions: From the junction of Rts. 30 and 28 in Blue Mountain Lake, drive South on Rt. 30 toward Indian Lake. In about three miles, look for a parking lot for the NPT on the left. The trailhead is just West of the entrance to the Lake Durant campground.
Please note: there are two trailheads for the NPT off Route 28N/30S. Look for the Trailhead that leads toward Long Lake. Parking spaces are limited at the roadside pull-off. Carpooling is recommended.
