      Take time to slow down, to recharge, and immerse yourself in the magic of winter in the Adirondacks. Join certified Forest & Nature Therapy Guides Helene Gibbens and Suzanne Weirich on Minnow Pond Trail, where they will introduce you to the wellness practice of Forest Bathing.

Discover how engaging all your senses -- sight, smell, taste, touch, and hearing leads to mindfulness and relaxation.  Get up close with the forest to rekindle your sense of playfulness and wonder at nature's beauty. This two-hour sensory exploration while take place on the gentle terrain of Minnow Pond Trail, located on the campus of the Adirondack Experience. We will end with a cup of wild tea and a brief discussion of how to take this wellness practice home for ongoing health benefits such as reducing stress, anxiety and blood pressure, as well as boosting your immune system's ability to fight infection. Suitable for children 6 years and up.

Pre-registration is required. A limited number of snowshoes will be available to borrow. In the case of severe weather the event will be rescheduled. Please wear sturdy shoes and warm clothing. Hats, gloves, and scarves are recommended.
