Sawyer Mountain rises just south of the village of Blue Mountain Lake. The views are good but not spectacular, but the forest is lovely and shady, and the trail is just right for an outing on a humid August day. We'll look for summer wildflowers, newly fledged songbirds, and early fall migrants. Total walking distance is 2.2 miles.
